Q4 2023 Performance of Top Air Travel Apps on iOS in France

As the year 2023 came to a close, the air travel app sector saw varied trends among the top players in the French market on the iOS platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of the performance of these apps in the fourth quarter.

Air France - Book a flight saw a steady increase in downloads, beginning the quarter with 8.6K and peaking at 14.9K during the holiday season. Weekly active users also reflected a positive trend, starting at 43.9K and climbing to 55.4K by year-end.

The easyJet: Travel App experienced its highest downloads at the start of the quarter with 14K, followed by a gradual decrease, but then rebounded to 11.9K in the last week. The app's weekly active users peaked early in October at 101.7K before settling to 92.7K in the final week of December.

Ryanair observed a similar pattern with an initial high of 12.1K downloads in early October, followed by a dip and a recovery to 11.6K by the end of December. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 63K and ending the quarter at 58.5K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker was the only app among the top five to generate revenue, with a notable increase from $7.7K to $11.8K in mid-December, before ending at $8.2K. Downloads for Flightradar24 peaked at 8K in late October and finished strong with 9.8K in the final week. Active users saw a decline from 43.5K to 39.9K over the quarter.

Lastly, Transavia had its downloads begin at 6.4K and end at 6.6K, showing modest fluctuations throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed a slight upward trend from 22.2K to 21K.
